Yulon-Nissan working on building Nissan’s fifth Auto-design Center
Yulon-Nissan Motor Co. of Taiwan is a joint venture between Yulon Motor Co. and Nissan Motor Co. of Japan and they have started working on the development of an auto-development center named the Yulon Nissan Design Center (YNDC).
The two companies are going to invest NT$340 million to establish this design center and it is expected to be complete by the first quarter of next year. And it would be the fifth such center in the world.
This new center would incorporate established R&D capacity and experiences from its predecessor Yulon Asia Technical Center (YATC) founded in 1981. And they would continue to develop car models suitable for consumers in the Greater China market as well as other nations.
Chen Kuo-rong, president of Yulon Motor said in a statement that they are happy to cooperate with Nissan in the establishment of this new development center.
