IBM establishes HiPODS lab in India

US based tech giants IBM have announced that they are establishing a specialized software and services lab in Bangalore. This would help the company in driving automation and virtualization into the increasingly complex IT infrastructure in India.

This new lab would be called High Performance On Demand Solutions Lab or HiPODS and it would be the first of its kind from the company for the Indian market. It would however be the seventh such facility of IBM worldwide.

IBM also claims that the Indian facility would be their largest outside the North America. HiPODS is helpful in linking IBM’s top consultants, developers, engineers and researchers in India and around the world.

They would be working on solving key client issues, including the time needed to adapt IT infrastructure to rapidly changing business environments, simplifying IT management and improving maintenance automation, optimizing resource utilization and improving reliability and service delivery.
