Creative continues to struggle against Apple and its iPod

Creative Technology has reported that they continue to operate in losses as they are struggling to compete against the ever-growing domination of Apple Computers in the digital music player market.

The company posted an annual net loss of 118.2 million US dollars compared with a 588,000 dollar profit in the previous year.

However, Creative continues to remain upbeat that they would return to profitability by the end of 2006 as they cut costs and hope for improved returns from newly launched products in the markets.

Craig McHugh, president of Creative Labs said in a statement on these results: “During the fourth quarter, although we posted a loss for the period and for the year, we made progress towards our goals.”
