Hyundai Motor expecting growth in the competitive US automobile market
South Korean auto major Hyundai has said in a statement that they believe that the company has room to grow its share of the U.S. auto market.
Market research has shown that a lot of prospective customers are considering going in for this South Korean brand for their new car.
Hyundai has already shown a rise in their sales by around 5% this year and they are just behind Toyota and Honda in this chart.
They had a meager 3% market share in the US market at the end of last year. John Krafcik, Hyundai Motor America vice president for product development and strategic planning spoke about their chances in the US market: “It’s difficult to say that this is the fastest it’s ever been done in the industry, but we’ve not found another brand that’s done it faster. This 23-percent shopping list level that we’ve got gives us some headroom to drive future sales increases.”
