Indra Nooyi: New CEO of PepsiCo Inc.

PepsiCo Inc. has announced that it is promoting its president and chief financial officer, Indra Nooyi as their new Chief Executive Officer.

She would be taking over from Steve Reinemund who announced his decision to retire after a successful five-year run.

Nooyi is not new to the company as she has been involved in much of the strategic planning for the company for several years.

The market was pretty shocked with the announcement of Reinemund’s retirement but they are pretty excited about the new appointment.

Richard Goodman would now become the new CFO of the corporation and Hugh Johnston is being appointed to the newly created position of executive vice president, operations.
