Hindustan Motors launches Mitsubishi Montero in India

Indian consumer now has more Mitsubishi cars to choose from. The CK Birla group company Hindustan Motors has now launched the premium SUV Montero in the Indian market.

It adds on to the existing range of premium automobiles from the Mitsubishi brand here in India.

This SUV would be followed by the launch of Mitsubishi Outlander in early 2007. In addition, they are also planning to launch a new premium-segment minivan-cum-sedan Grandis in the Indian market.

A company official spoke about this new development: “Once we get enough volumes for the Montero, we can even look at locally producing the same. But Montero will make its India debut through the import route.”

They have further plans to launch more Mitsubishi models in the Indian market in the coming days.
