Air Sahara announces big expansion plan with 14 new routes

Air Sahara found itself in trouble after a failed business transaction with Jet Airways. The company is now coming back on track as they have just announced operations to 14 new destinations including two international routes by December.

The company aims to have the largest network and a market share of 12-13 per cent by next year in the Indian market.

Air Sahara President Alok Sharma said in a statement on these goals: “The expansion plan begins from tomorrow and will continue till December 16. During this time, we would be introducing flights to Guanghou (China) and Maldives on the international sector and would connect Delhi with Port Blair.”

Air Sahara would now operate a daily flight to Maldives through Colombo and they would also be connecting Dhaka.

With these new flights, Air Sahara would now be connecting Delhi to six international destinations. They also have code-share flights with American Airlines.
