N R Narayana Murthy steps down as the executive chairman of Infosys

The face of Indian IT revolution N R Narayana Murthy has stepped down as Executive Chairman of Infosys.

He is one of the founding fathers of this IT giant in India and has been associated with it for around 25 years.

His decision to step down was part of his own rules that people should retire at the age of 60 years.

However, he is expected to continue his association with the company, which is India’s second biggest software exporter with annual revenues of more than $ two billion.

Murthy would continue to work as Chief Mentor and serve the company as Non-Executive Chairman.
