Airline companies in Japan disappointed with the closure of Connexion by Boeing

US based aircraft manufacturer Boeing might have been disappointed with the popularity of their in-flight Internet service named Connexion but the service was very popular amongst the Japanese airline operators.

Two of the major airline companies in the country have now expressed disappointment that the Boeing has decided to pull the plug on this service.

All Nippon Airways spokesman Rob Henderson spoke on this disappointing news: “We are disappointed to hear about the forthcoming cessation of Connexion by Boeing’s in-flight Internet and e-mail service, as it was well received and enjoyed by customers.”

A spokesman for Japan Airlines added: “We have conducted a basic survey of people who have used our in-flight Internet service and we are happy to report high levels of satisfaction. Over 90 percent of respondents stated that they definitely would use the service again.”

And I am one of them. I used the service during my NY-Tokyo flights and it made 13 hours pass like a breese. Not to mentioned, people who had to work were using it very actively. I was hoping to use skype VOIP on my trip back.
