Tribune to outsource some of their call center jobs
Publisher and broadcaster Tribune Co. has said in a statement that they are cutting as many as 250 of their call center jobs. These jobs would be cut at 10 of its daily newspapers.
Tribune would now outsource these jobs to APAC Customer Services with operations in the Philippines.
Some of the newspapers affected with this job cut are Chicago Tribune, Newsday on New York’s Long Island and The Baltimore Sun. their Los Angeles Times already had outsourced its call-center operations.
The company added that these job cuts would take place by early next year and affects around 1% of their existing workforce.
