Hindustan Motors to spend big on expanding auto component business
India based automotive company Hindustan Motors has said that they would be spending around Rs 100 crore to expand its auto component business.
This investment would be funded by money raised by developing a part of land near its Uttarpara plant in West Bengal.
It would help the company expand its component manufacturing capacities to five times its current capacity.
HM also has plans to develop 314 acres of land near the Uttarpara plant to set up an integrated township. This would include an IT park, auto-ancillary park and real estate projects.
HM managing director Ravi Santhanam spoke on these plans: “Uttarpara is strategically located on the eastern sea front and gives us an opportunity to export… This will help us become a world class auto component manufacturer.”
