Ryanair Holdings seeking compensation from Britain
Ryanair Holdings is the Europe’s largest low-cost airline and they have now filed a claim for 3 million pounds as compensation from the British government.
This claim would also help the airline company apply pressure on the government bodies to return to lower security at airports.
Company Chief Executive Officer Michael O’Leary said in a statement that the claim amount reflects Ryanair’s losses from cancellations and lost bookings over the week of 10-15 August only. He further said that the money would go to charity.
O’Leary added: “We don’t wish to be seen to profit in any way from suing the government”.
