Bosch expect diesels to become more popular in United States
World’s biggest automotive industry supplier Bosch has said in a statement that they expect the diesel market to grow many folds in the next couple of years.
Bosch said that diesel-powered engines could triple their share in the US market within the next 10 years as newer technologies have made them as powerful and reliable as the gasoline cars are.
Bosch’s chief for the Americas, Peter Marks said in a statement: “We expect diesel’s share of passenger cars and light trucks to rise from 5 percent now to around 15 percent by 2015.”
Looking at this potential, the company is expanding its U.S. manufacturing capacity for diesel fuel injection systems. They are also aiming at relying less on the European segment by expanding their operations in the US market.
