Telenor takes over the control of Mobi 63
Norwegian telecoms company Telenor has confirmed that they have finally taken over Serbia’s biggest mobile operator Mobi 63.
They had paid close to around 1.5 billion euros for this deal last month.
Telenor also named Stein Erik Vellan as the new president of Mobi 63. The company would also be renamed to Telenor as they aim to become a driving force in the Serbian mobile market.
Telenor’s vice president Jan Edvard Thygesen added: “From today we will be focused on improving services, products, marketing, network and coverage to meet the needs of the Serbian market.”
The deal is being shown as the proof that Serbia is a stable country for foreign investors by the government.
