Kia Motors showcases concept car Cee’d
Kia Motors have showcased their latest concept car named Cee’d which is a medium-sized sedan. The company plans to target this car at their European customers, which have a definite taste and dislike the regular Asian styled cars.
The company would be manufacturing this new car at a plant it will complete in Zilina, Slovakia at the end of this year. Kia is also aiming at launching this car at the 2006 Geneva Motor Show, which is beginning from Feb. 28 in Switzerland.
Cee’d is powered with a turbocharged engine at 2,000cc displacement with a huge output capacity. However, this car won’t be made available in the South Korean market where the company is based.

Kia is expected to use the same platform for the Cee’d as Hyundai Motors’ HD, which will replace the Avante XD in April.
