Alan Mulally: New CEO of Ford Motors

Ford Motors are struggling in their domestic market of USA. The company is posting huge losses and is showing no signs of improvement.

So much so, that they have now taken the shocking decision to replace Bill Ford with former Boeing boss Alan Mulally as their new CEO.

However, Bill Ford would continue to remain the executive chairman of the company. This announcement comes after Ford posted a $1.3 billion loss in the first six months of 2006.

Bill Ford had recently admitted that the company needed a new business model to survive in this competitive market where Japanese companies are now dominating the US auto market.

The move is highly surprising considering Alan Mulally is outside the automobile industry and had no relations with Ford in the past.

I think that Ford needs to improve their advertising and find a cooler and flahier way to advertise. I like Ford trucks.
