Market not excited by Ford’s newly appointed CEO
Ford Motor might have taken the drastic step of appointing an industry outsider to their CEO position but the market analysts are not impressed.
Experts have said that the company might take as many as two years to show any results of this new decision to change the leadership at the top.
Ford recently announced the appointment of Alan Mulally, a former Boeing Co. as their CEO. He is widely credited with spearheading the resurgence of Boeing against their rivals Airbus in the aviation industry.
Calyon Securities analyst Joseph Amaturo spoke on his appointment: “Given the long lead times in the automotive business, we do not foresee a material improvement in Ford’s near-term U.S. light vehicle market share as a result of the appointment of a new CEO.”
