Hewlett Packard launches Global Delivery Centre in Chennai
US based tech giant Hewlett Packard has announced the launch of its latest Global Delivery Centre in Chennai.
This center is located in a three-lakh sq ft facility housing as many as 3,000 people and it was launched by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi at ‘Connect 2006′.
This facility is located at the Olympia Technology Park in the city. HP said in a statement that this center would cater to applications, infrastructure services and tech support.
Currently they have around 700 people working here and this would be increased to 3,000 people in the next two years.
Som Mittal, managing director and chief executive officer of HP Global Soft and worldwide head of application services delivery said in a statement that this center was strategic for HP operations, and it would be servicing the company’s Fortune 50 clients.
