Acer computers to come preloaded with Yahoo! services
Search engine company Yahoo! is collaborating with Taiwanese tech giants Acer. This deal would see Acer setting Yahoo! as the default search engine on all Acers sold globally.
As per market reports, Acer is the number three notebook vendor worldwide and leads the competition in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
Acer customers would also be provided more Yahoo! services including a co-branded toolbar and start page on all its PCs.
Market analysts believe that such deals are beneficial for the end customers as they get to use the internet in a more efficient manner. Until now, Google has been the search engine company, which has been working with PC manufacturers to get their tools on their systems.
