Toyota might soon overtake Ford in the US market
Ford just recently announced their plans to massively cut their workforce in the US market to get back to profitability.
This means that the company might loose its number 2 position in the US market to Japanese automaker Toyota in the coming years.
Toyota already managed to achieve that feet for a single month in July this year.
Ford is planning to shed some U.S. models and sales to rental fleets. And this could cut their share in the US market to around 14 percent.
Toyota on the other hand already has a market share of around 15% and their sales are rising with every month.
Market analysts believe that Ford might end up in the forth spot in the coming years falling behind both Toyota and DaimlerChrylser.
