Audi launches Q7 in India at a price tag of Rs 61 lakh
German automobile manufacturer Audi has finally launched their luxury sports utility vehicle Q7 in the Indian market.
The company is also now exploring the option of assembling their cars locally to bring their prices down in the Indian market.
Andre Konsbruck, regional manager (Overseas) of Audi said in a statement on their plans for India: “We are investigating the possibility of local manufacturing in India, though it is some time away.”
Audi now has models including ‘A4′, ‘A6′ and ‘A8′ along with the just launched ‘Q7’ on sale in India.
The company is looking at sales figures of 300 units in 2006 and 600 in 2007 for their cars. They plan to establish a production facility once they reach optimal sales volume in this market.
