Christian Dior arrives in India

The French fashion czar Christian Dior has finally arrived here in the Indian market. Dior would be opening its first exclusive boutique in New Delhi. Further plans are to establish another unit in the Mumbai city.

Christian Dior would be showcasing its latest range of clothes, bags and other accessories at its new boutique. However, prices are expected to be much higher than expected, as import duties will play a major role in spoiling it for the interested customers.

Pierre Dennis, managing director, retail, India said in a statement on their Indian initiative: “We have chosen to come to India now for several reasons. Not only are duties on a downward spiral, which will make our products much more affordable than ever before, also India’s fast growing market is being seen as a big positive. Indians are becoming increasingly brand conscious.”

India already plays host to a variety of big names like Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Bulgari, Hugo Boss and Aigner.
