AT&T to shift customer support jobs back to USA
US based telecom giant AT&T has said that they would be creating 2,000 new unionized jobs at its U.S. operations as they aim to shift back customer support jobs from other countries.
A company spokesperson confirmed this development: “We were able to create these jobs at competitive salaries.”
These support people would be paid $30,000 per year plus benefits. AT&T is working with the Communications Workers of America, the union that represents telecom workers at the company to implement this plan.
Market analysts believe that one of the primary reasons to bring back support jobs is to ensure that they are able to support their customers better. Outsourced support centers have been in news for all the bad reasons in the recent past.
