Pioneer suing Samsung on patent infringement charges
Japanese tech company Pioneer has said that they are suing South Korea’s Samsung SDI Co. and Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. in the United States.
This lawsuit is related to patent violations in its plasma display panel technology.
Samsung SDI responded by saying that they would soon be filing a counter suit against this one. Apparently, this lawsuit is just the latest example of similar lawsuits being filed by Asian companies to maintain an edge over the other.
Samsung SDI is already facing legal hassles from competing companies including Japan’s Matsushita Electric Industrial Co. Ltd. and Fujitsu Ltd. Their talks with Pioneer failed resulting in this latest lawsuit.
