Market Analysts: MySpace.com could be worth $15 billion in three years
RBC Capital analyst Jordan Rohan has said in a note that the online social networking portal MySpace.com now owned by News Corp could be worth as much as USD 15 billion in the next couple of years.
He measured this value in terms of the value created for shareholders of parent company News Corp.
Impressively, News Corp. acquired MySpace.com for $580 million less than a year ago. The service now claims to have more than 90 million registered users.
He added that MySpace.com is currently sold out of space for video advertising and the rates of advertising on this network are pretty high. They are expected to gain more users after they launch the under development mobile version of this service.
