Hyundai aiming at doubling sales in 2006 in India
South Korean auto giant Hyundai has made a solid impression in the Indian market. The company had no brand value when it arrived but today it is one of the top automobile makers in the Indian market. So much so, Hyundai believes India to be one of their primary markets outside their domestic circle.
The company is now expecting to double its sales in the Indian market in the current year. Hyundai recently hosted an auto show in Mumbai, which was visited by as many as 20,000 visitors. The company also managed to sell 10 vehicles during the 3-day show and plans to do well this year considering the good response they got from their visitors.
More importantly, Hyundai also showcased some brand new models at this show especially the ultra-luxury sedan Azera and the sports Coupe Tuscani. Maybe, they wanted to test the consumer response to these new cars so that they might look into the possibility to launch them in the near future. Exciting times ahead for the Indian consumers we believe.
