Intel rumored to be considering acquiring NVIDIA
Intel is the market leader in the microprocessor market. Their smaller rival AMD recently made big news when they acquired the graphic processor maker ATI.
The latest rumor in the market is that Intel is now considering acquiring ATI rival NVIDIA.
This rumor alone helped NVIDIA gain in the stock market as their share price went up by around 8%.
Intel declined to comment on this rumor calling it a speculation. Some other market analysts have said that the deal is unlikely to take place considering NVIDIA is too expensive at the current market price.
And Intel already has their own graphic chips division, which makes it even less relevant to acquire NVIDIA.
