Adobe Systems to acquire Actimagine

As software giants Adobe aims to explore the mobile applications market, they have announced their decision to acquire Actimagine.

Actimagine is a France based company specializing in developing video and interactive vector graphics technology.

This acquisition is expected to help Adobe further boost their portfolio of mobile technologies, which already includes Adobe Flash Lite.

This would also help Adobe reach out to high-volume, mass-market devices. Actimagine would now integrate existing and future versions of Adobe Flash Lite technology into its service offerings, which includes Mobiclip software video codec.
