Nokia to close down a Forth Worth facility

Mobile phone maker Nokia has announced that they are closing down one of their facilities located at Forth Worth that repaired and distributed cellular phones.

They are also firing 300 of the plant’s 450 workers. This layoff would start in December and would continue through the first quarter of next year.

Rest of the employees would be shifted to Dallas suburb of Irving where Nokia has their US headquarter.

Nokia would then be putting this plant on sale sometime next year. The company would be shifting the work done at this plant to their new plant located in Mexico.
