AOL to kill 1,400 Jobs and 2 call centers
Time Warner’s internet division AOL has said that they would be cutting as many as 1400 jobs as they plan to close down two call centers.
This is a result of the declining number of customers of the company using their internet services. AOL said that they are going to shut down call centers located in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Tucson, Arizona.
These job cuts are part of AOL’s plan to cut 5,000 jobs by the end of the year. This plan was originally announced by the company in August this year.
AOL is increasingly focusing on providing more and more free services as they aim to enhance revenues from online advertising.
