IBM completes takeover of Internet Security Systems

US based tech giant IBM has said in a statement that they have completed the takeover of the Internet Security Systems.

Internet Security Systems is now an integral part of IBM’s Global Services’ Infrastructure Management Services organization.

The company specializes in building network protection products and services, including intrusion detection and monitoring tools.

IBM announced their decision to acquire ISS in august this year. These two companies have already been working together since 1999. IBM would now work on expanding sales and development of the ISS Proventia products and ISS security services.
