Fiat’s core automotive division posts a profit for the fourth straight quarter
Fiat’s core automotive division continues to perform well as it posted a profit for the fourth straight quarter on Thursday.
The company continues to gain from improved sales of Grande Punto hatchback and other popular models.
Fiat is aiming for a 2006 group trading profit of 1.85 billion euros. In addition, it is also targeting a net profit of 800 million euros.
Fiat Auto is the group’s biggest division by sales and it alone made a trading profit of 51 million euros against a loss of 85 million euros for the same period last year.
