General Motors expecting China sales to touch 800,000 units this year

A senior GM executive has said that the company is expecting their sales in the China market to exceed 800,000 units this year.

If this happens, the company would achieve a growth rate of more than 20% compared to sales figures from last year.

Nick Reilly, GM’s vice president and the president of GM Asia Pacific added that he is very happy about these figures.

The company also managed to increase their market share in China this year. The market has become fairly competitive and the automakers have to resort to price cuts to lure in consumers.

That is good news, though I thought they were closer to 30% increase, year on end, and were going to push 1 million units; but my memory isn’t always good.
