Ford Motor to cut production for first half of next year

Ford Motor Co. has said that they will cut production of new cars and trucks by 8-12% in the first half of 2007.

Production would then be enhanced in the second half of the next year when they would have newer products on offer.

The company has already cut the production for the last three months of the current year by around 21% to counter the falling sales in the US market.

Ford also had recently admitted that it expects its market share to eventually sink to 14% to 15%. Their current market share is at around 17.9%.
