Qantas Airways orders eight A380 Aircraft from Airbus
Australia’s biggest airline company Qantas Airways has confirmed that they are placing an order for eight more A380 superjumbo planes made by Airbus SAS.
The order is worth around $2.4 billion at market price of these planes. This comes in addition to the order of 12 planes that they had ordered earlier.
These planes would be delivered between 2008 and 2015. The company said that they managed to get an attractive package from Airbus. In addition, they have also placed orders for four A330-200 aircraft, worth as much as $652 million.
Qantas first placed its order for 12 of the superjumbos in 2000.
