Blockbuster customers can now return online rented DVDs in stores
Blockbuster Inc. has said in a statement that they are changing their company policy and they would now allow customers to return DVDs either through the mail or at its stores.
According to the new Total Access plan Blockbuster customers can now receive a free in-store movie rental if they return to stores those DVDs that are rented online.
In comparison, their key rival Netflix Inc. only operates through the mail which is a slow method of delivering and receiving the latest movies.
Blockbuster further added that they have added about 150,000 net subscribers to its online program during the third quarter. They now have around 1.5 million online subscribers. The company added that Total Access customers will also get a free in-store rental coupon each month.
