Hyundai India posts 18% sales growth in October

Hyundai is the second largest car manufacturer in the Indian market. They are also the country’s largest exporter of cars.

The company has come out with their sales report for the month of October and they have posted an 18% improvement compared to the same period last year.

Hyundai India sold as many as 26,110 car units last month. This included 18,603 units in the domestic market and 7,507 units in the overseas market.

The company also recently exported their 300,000th car from their Indian operations.

Hyundai is also working on establishing their second plant in Chennai, which will produce 300,000 units per annum. They would then have a total manufacturing capacity of 600,000 per annum by 2007.
