Maruti reports 17% sales increase in passenger car sales during October
Maruti Udyog is the leader in the automobile market in India and they have just released their sales report for the month of October.
The company successfully managed to take advantage of the holiday season. Maruti reported almost 17% sales increase in passenger car sales during the month. They have now crossed sales of 60,000 units mark in a month.
Maruti Udyog sold 60,163 cars during October compared to sales of 51,543 in the same month last year. They sold 6,354 units of Maruti 800 model. Maruti Alto itself managed to sell a record 22,294 units last month.
They also managed to increase their export units number to 4,269 vehicles. This is a growth of 246% compared to October last year.
