Wal-Mart gets offensive with price cuts on electronic goods
Wal-Mart began discounting goods on their stores starting October. They started with toys and they have now announced discounts on almost 100 electronic items.
This is likely to start a price war this coming holiday season in America. This latest discount scheme applies focuses on high definition TVs, cellphones and digital cameras.
This also comes just a day after company revealed disappointing October sales. They are also predicting a lackluster November outlook.
These discounts are applicable till the end of the year and are available on items as Panasonic 42-inch HD plasma TVs, Polaroid LCD HDTVs and Cingular C139 prepaid phones.
Wal-Mart added that they are aiming to reestablish their dominance in toys and electronics market.
