Oracle acquires SPL WorldGroup and Stellent
Database software maker Oracle is continuing with their acquisitions and has announced that they are now taking over SPL WorldGroup and Stellent.
SPL WorldGroup is a developer of enterprise applications for the utilities industry. And Stellent specializes in content management software development.
While the financial details of the deal with SPL has not been revealed, Oracle paid $440 million for Stellent.
The company is paying $13.50 per share in cash for Stellent and the deal is expected to be closed by early next year. This deal would get them clients including big names like General Motors, Merrill Lynch, Home Depot and U.S. government agencies.
