Toyota continues to dominate the Japanese auto market
World’s second largest automaker Toyota continues to dominate the home market of Japan. Their Corolla family sedan was the best-selling vehicle in Japan in October.
It was followed by their own Vitz compact and Estima minivan. The company dominates the top 10 list in the market with as many as seven models.
Crown luxury sedan and Prius hybrid sedan are sixth and seventh on the list. Toyota Corolla topped the sales chart with sales of 13,010 units.
Honda performed well too. Their Stream minivan and the Fit compact ranked fourth and fifth. Nissan also made it on the list with their Serena minivan which was ranked eighth with sales of 5,247 units.
