Tata group acquires Nissan’s truck manufacturing plant in South Africa
India based automaker Tata has announced that they are acquiring Nissan’s truck manufacturing plant in South Africa.
A Tata spokesperson said in a statement: “Nissan’s manufacturing unit in South Africa has been acquired.”
The company has not revealed the financial details of this acquisition. The deal has been done by Tata Africa Holdings.
They are hoping to expand their presence in the South Africa’s automobile market with this plant. The company is already assembling buses in Johannesburg.
