Fox Studios might launch their movies on Apple iTunes
News Corp is currently engaged in talks with Apple Computer to make available movies from their Fox Studios on sale on Apple iTunes.
News Corp’s president and chief operating officer Peter Chernin said in a statement that the two companies are trying to come to an agreement.
He clarified that the deal is yet to be finalized as they are working on some minor details. Fox already sells some of their television shows on Apple iTunes.
Disney is currently the only major movie studio to sell their movies on Apple iTunes. But that is mostly because Steve Jobs is Walt Disney Company’s largest single shareholder.
If the deal between Fox and Apple finalizes, consumers can get access to movies like Star Wars, X-Men, and Ice Age on Apple iTunes.
