Tata Consultancy Services and Satyam sign deals with Qantas Airways
Two of the country’s most well known software companies TCS and Satyam have signed on deals with Australian airline company Qantas Airways.
These deals are worth 144.4 million dollars. Tata Consultancy Services has said that their deal with Qantas would require them to provide software services to upgrade airport operations and commercial systems over the next seven years.
TCS said in a statement: “The value of the deal is about 90 million dollars. We believe technology has a strong role to play in enabling the travel and hospitality sector companies to retain customers and build new business models.”
In another deal, Satyam has also announced a seven-year deal with the airline worth 54.4 million dollars. It would be maintaining information technology services for the company in addition to developing new applications for Qantas.
