Intel to invest big on their venture in Vietnam
Microprocessor market giants Intel have said that they would be expanding their investments in the Asian country of Vietnam.
The company now plans to more than triple its initial $300 million investment in this market. Intel would dramatically expand the size of a chip assembly and testing plant they are constructing in the country.
Intel has plans to spend close to USD 1 billion on this manufacturing plant and expand the size of the facility from 150,000 square feet to 500,000 square feet.
They are aiming to complete the construction at this plant by next year. It would be Intel’s sixth testing facility in Asia and first in Vietnam.
