Motorola wins a mega order from China Telling Communications
World’s second largest mobile phone maker Motorola has won a major order from China Telling Communications.
Motorola would supply China Telling Communications with $1.6 billion worth of phones in 2007 as per this deal.
Yan Siqing, chief executive officer of the Shenzhen-based China Telling Communications said in a statement: “Motorola will supply 12 million handsets in 2007 to Telling.”
Motorola would also be supplying around six million cell phones to the company this year. This deal would help them achieve the goal of cornering around a quarter of Chinese mobile market in the coming years.
Motorola has Nokia as a major challenger in this fast growing mobile phone market.
