Cingular Wireless to offer mobile banking service starting next year
Cingular Wireless is the America’s largest mobile service operators. The company has now said that they are currently talking with banks in the country to let their users manage their bank accounts using their mobile devices.
This would be yet another value added offering Cingular wants to offer to expand the scope of revenues originating from existing customers.
Cingular added that they are already testing out a wireless banking application, which would enable mobile users to view account balances, transfer funds and pay bills on their cell phones.
The company wants to start offering this service by as early as next year though they have not specified any details on which banks have shown interest in participating in this new program.
