Vodafone Group currently has now plans to sell Verizon stake

Britain’s Vodafone Group Plc has said in a statement that they currently have no plans to sell off their stake in the U.S. venture Verizon Wireless.

The company added that they are expecting more growth in the US market from their investments.

Vodafone’s Chief Executive Arun Sarin added that the venture is currently growing at 18 percent and its value was rising. He said: “We’re clearly conscious of the fact this company won’t continue to go on at that rate into infinity but … This scenario is not changing in the next 6 to 8 months either.”

Sarin further added: “As a year or two or three goes on, who knows what opportunities the company will find itself in. I think we have a strong dividend. We’re at 60 percent from a low base … I think we want to stay here for a while before we change it.”

Sarin also said that they are going to be very cautious on their plans for further investments.
