Eicher Motors launches Terra 16
Eicher Motors has announced the launch of its ‘Terra 16’, which is a 16 tonne tipper. The launch ceremony took place in Chennai as the company aims at grabbing a piece of the estimated market for 35,000 tippers next year.
The company held a press conference in the city where Eicher Motors Chief Executive Rakesh Kalra showcased the 16-tonne 147 HP Terra 16 offering gradability as high as 22.5 per cent. He also mentioned that the high pick-up was introduced after extensive research and elaborate procedures.
He added in a statement: ”Be it in terms of better mileage, faster turnaround, higher pick up and exceptionally strong aggregates, we hope, beginning with Terra 16, Eicher will be making strong inroads into the tipper segment.”
This new product from the company is priced at Rs 7.85. Eicher also said that they sold 17,800 vehicles this year and are hoping to sell 4,000 ‘Jumbos’ under this category this year.
