Wal-Mart cut prices on food items just ahead of the holiday season
Retailing giants Wal-Mart happens to be the largest seller of food in the United States and they have just announced their decision to cut prices on hundreds of grocery items.
This move is expected to hit traditional grocery suppliers as the Thanksgiving Day is just around the corner in the United States.
The company has already shocked the market analysts by cutting prices on toys, appliances, electronics and apparel items to boost their sales in the upcoming holiday season.
Wal-Mart said that they expect these steps to help boost their sales in the coming weeks. As for these latest discounts, the company said that the price of many food items would be lowered by as much as 20 percent.
